FLÅM PORT

Flåm Utvikling as is operating and market the cruise harbour in Flåm. Flåm Cruise Harbour is  Norway’s third largest cruise ports counting number of ship calls. Flåm can offer its hospitality to all kinds of vessels from regular boat traffic to the largest cruise ship. The cruise Harbour, new 1999 had a total cost of NOK 30m. Flåm Cruise Port is one of Norway’s most popular ports of call for cruise ships, with over 130 ships putting in every summer. As from May 1999 Flåm have improved the berthing facilities to enable the largest cruise ship to berth alongside. The harbour basin has all the facilities for using tender boats on days when several cruise ships are in the harbour at the same time.

The new infrastructure of Flåm provides better access for passengers to the tours of the surrounding fjord region. Flåm is a popular tourist destination and a perfect starting point for half-day and all-day trips in beautiful natural surroundings. Flåm Port was awarded by “Dream World Cruise Destinations” the price for the best-improved port facilities in North Europe in 1999 and 2000.
